I mentioned that Carrotmobbers was in the running for the Oxford New American Dictionary word of the year. It is a fledgling organization that seeks to green up businesses through social networking inspired consumption mobs. They call it positive cooperation. Instead of wielding a confrontational stick against big corporations, they are seeking to put a carrot in front of companies to encourage ethical and sustainable practices.
I've posted about Bringing Down the World Economy through reduced consumption. Maybe this is a hint of an answer to bringing up the world economy through intentional, coordinated consumption.
Here's a news report on a one of the mobs.
